Donna Nook

Through November and December in the UK, Grey Seals congregate along the coast to give birth to their pups and breed. This can be a unique opportunity to photograph these charismatic animals in their natural environment, and Donna nook is the perfect location. We will spend a day observing and photographing them from a safe distance, hopefully seeing and photographing a variety of behaviours and interactions between individuals.

A British spectacle

Every winter thousands of Grey Seals come to the shore to give birth. Pups rapidly gain weight and there are several locations across the coast to safely observe them with minimal disturbance.

This is a full day workshop which lasts up to 7 hours.

I spent 2 days with Tesni on a Grey Seal workshop and had a fantastic time. I’m quite new to wildlife photography but have done sports and portrature for years: it was the perfect crash course on a different style and I couldn’t believe how many seals were on the beach and so many pups! I nearly filled 2 memory cards and will definitely go on another workshop in the future. Thanks for a great trip! J
